ugandan drilling programme

It looks as though we might expect a result from the next Ugandan well (Waraga 1) in the first or second week of March.

The Tullow operational report released yesterday contains the following relevant passage:

"The rig will now move to the Waraga 1 location, where drilling is expected to commence in mid-February, The Waraga prospect is a deeper well of 1650 metres and has an anticipated well duration of approximately 20 days. Tullow is also in discussion with partners in relation to the potential drilling of the Kingfisher well in Block 3A as part of the current programme."

Let's hope that this time the HDR operating team have the wireline testing equipment available to provide the necessary data across the full depth of the well!!
( I still think that this lack of appropriate equipment at Mputa 1 was a bit of a furphy to cover some poltical or economic bargaining strategy)
