Stockpiles of nickel stored in LME licensed warehouses rose for a sixth consecutive session and set a new all time record high. Yesterday's gains was a staggering 6,408 tonnes, setting a new all time record high of 442,950 tonnes. In a few days, we have gone from possibly seeing the first month where stockpiles actually fell, to possibly seeing the largest one month gain so far this year. If this news isn't pessimistic enough for market bulls, news from Columbia tells us the strike at Cerro Matoso may end soon. More nickel coming soon.
Hang onto the hats Ni believers, might be some short term turbulence and profit taking.
Lets await the POS Quarterly. Key elements? Funding. Windarra re-start. Tranche 2 money received? Balance sheet. Care and Maintenance costs.
Personally, I'm staying bullish quality Ni companies, with strong balance sheet,high grades and lower quartile costs.
