butcherbird, your post relies on the fact that SDL will raise capital through new shares..
1. with the resource in the ground i dare say they will secure fuinding from a chinese backer and will be able to pay it back with interest within a few years.
2. sure we have a credit crisis but SDL may not be in a position to build for a couple of years thus the crisis may have sorted itself out
3. If all the drilling, studies etc turn up the goods a project of this size will have no problem getting going given china's need for iron ore. especially when RIO and BHP are starting to charge through the nose.
only an opinion and only time will tell.
cinnamon, i too hold from 40 odd cents and a top up at 70 odd cents.. i'm not going anywhere. infact the opposite and buying whenevr i can at these prices.. make no mistake though this is a long term punt but one that has the potential for massive upside.
