    Hi,
For a number of reasons Australia doesn't face the same sort of risks.

    1. we have a much better electoral system
    2. class , and the chums network doesn't dominate to the same extent.
    3. we don't suffer from the same level of exceptionalism [except in sport , but it is not as toxic there].
They haven't got over the empire.
    4. our education and health systems are markedly better
    5. we have more resources
    6. Overall , our immigration has been better targeted , and those immigrants have fitted in better , and been more productive.
Because despite what we may think , we are much less racist[ excluding Abortiginals] and more welcoming than most [ that has been my opinion for ages , was also the opinion of a west african I met , who came here from the Uk]
Our present immigration problems are a hangover from the last government and covid disruption and should work there way through the system over the next 12 to 18 months. Providing the Greens and the LNP don't get in the way too much.
    7. despite out complaints , our infrastructure is much better.

It will be interesting to see what a Blairite Labour Party can accomplish.
