Smaller stock to watch
Virotec International, the AIM-listed waste water treatment specialist, rose 2¾p to 26¼p on securing its first US contract, a deal with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation worth up to $1.3 million (£716,000). The Australian company will use its Bauxol technology to prevent run-off of sulphuric acid from waste rock unearthed as part of the construction of Interstate 99 across Skytop Mountain. More US deals are expected.
