I read some of the thread called 'politics', and was not surprised when a left-leaning member admitted to being a moderator.
Over the years of visiting this forum, the main thing I notice is that anything left-winged, seemed to be accepted, however barbed it may be- I've had some of my 'posts' pulled, where I just questioned comments made. I've also seen members that have been ousted just because they share their right-winged views, which is a sad reflection on HC.
I can't remember using the 'tou' button, nor have I ever had anyone on 'ignore', probably because I like being part of a healthy discussion, irrespective of whether it's going my way or not.
When it comes to name-calling, look no further than what John Howard has been called, and compare what names Kevin Rudd has been assigned........ the worst so far is Krudd.
This new system, where the 'moderators' have stars is far better than having all these faceless people, pulling 'posts' that don't support their side of a debate.
