@santapaws; fifty years ago the UK shafted and waved POQ to Australia as it greased up to the EU. Australia was forced to develop new trade partners and processes - firstly with Japan and later with China while importing expensive weapons from the USA.
For brazenly racist reasons the UK recently opted for Brexit!
But now that the economic reality of being alienated by the EU is beginning to dawn on people throughout the UK they're becoming aware of the consequences - British farmers face having to compete against Australian farmers for example!
Now that QE2 is dead & buried and after what the UK did to Australia last time round only an incredibly stupid and morally bankrupt Australian government would roll over and let the UK exploit Australia yet again.
