I rarely watch American movies, maybe some old ones, but I find I get more pleasure from UK & European actors, whether in movies or TV series.
Recently bought the second-last series of Only Fools & Horses and it broke me up when I finally noticed the direction on the menu screen: "For Episodes 4-6 insert the disc you plonker"
Currently rewatching a series with Benedict Cumberbatch, who I guess you either like or don't, called Parade's End. Brilliant stuff imo.
Speaking of BC, or God to his groupies (strange to think of a serious actor having groupies), he was marvellous in the series The Hollow Crown, which covered the Wars of the Roses from go to whoa.
