I could never warm to Katherine Hepburn, somehow she just jarred...

I could never warm to Katherine Hepburn, somehow she just jarred on me, maybe it was her voice. But I knew she was a well respected actress...sorry, actor.

But SBS has in its stable this bio movie Call Me Kate and it's very good and worth seeing for movie fans with an interest in history.
I didn't realise her movie career started as far back as about 1932 and that she lived till she was 96 I think and was making movies into her 80s.
I'd like to see that one, one of her last, with Anthony Hopkins.
Also I was surprised director George Cukor, who made movies as long as she did, directed her very first movie in which she had the lead. I remember he made new wave movies with people like Dirk Bogarde.

As I say, it's a great bio and not to be missed.
