Probably not many people remember David Warner.

He first worked for the Royal Shakespeare Comoany.
I first saw him in a black comedy called Morgan: a Suitable Case for Treatment, which was hilarious and tragic, which came out in 1966.
Around the same time I saw him in a TV mini-series The Wars of the Roses, which was largely I thought extracted from different parts of Shakespeare. He played the tragic Henry VI. I immediately got out my Collected Works and read all those plays.
    He was just brilliant.
His filmography is very long, one entry I note which I would have seen was his part as Reinar Heydrich in the Holocaust, a compelling if difficult to watch series.
Heydrich of course is credited largely as the orchestrator of the holocaust.

David Warner only died about 18 months ago and will have been missed by many.
