I went to the St Petersburg 1900 exhibition when it was on. There is a painting by Vasily Surikov titled St Isaac's Cathedral and the Bronze Horseman in the Moonlight which I stayed and looked at for about half an hour, brilliant, reminded me of the scene of Dr Zhivago and Lara riding in the carriage in the snow. Was going to spend a couple of hours at the gallery, ended up being there all day. Brilliant- one of the very best exhibitions I have ever seen.
