Richard Briers
Here's an actor who has provided more great comedy performances than many have had good dinners.
Starting in the late 1950s and continuing to work till the year before his death in 2013 he was active in radio, TV and film as well as stage work including Shakespeare.
I never saw or heard a bad performance from him
Why I mention him now is because I started watching the old series Monarch of the Glen on Britbox, a sitcom where he plays the Laird of some estate
But I also remember him in a 3 part series The Norman Conquests, The Marriage Game, Brothers in Law & many more.
