At the end of the box set of Water Under the Bridge, there are a few extras one of them being a long ramble by the author Sumner Locke Elliott on everything to do with his writing. I don't think I've ever heard anyone able to talk so long and quickly, ranging far and wide on anything to do with his writing life. But it was very interesting, he's an interesting bloke and had wide experience in the written, broadcast and visual arts. I wonder if the period say, 1920 - 1990, will ever be equalled in Australia's artistic achievements.
