It's a good week for movies so far. Today I saw "Venus" with Peter O'Toole & Jodi Whittaker in the lead roles and Leslie Phillips & Richard Griffiths & Vanessa Redgrave as supports. Well acclaimed this movie as it should be. Several awards & nominations. I thought this might be O'Toole's last movie, he looked so old and in fact died in the story but he made a dozen movies after it. His filmography just goes on & on for pages. Jodi Whittaker was brilliant in this I thought. I couldn't place where I'd seen her before (which doesn't happen too often) but it was in that series Broadchurch where she played the mother of the dead child. This was her first movie and she got nominations for best actress for her part
This is just a brilliant movie in so many ways. I loved it.
