A couple of dvds out of the archive:
Caddie: an Aussie movie from the 70s (that's 50 years ago!) that for me anyway stands the test of time.
Helen Morse is beautiful, maybe too beautiful for a single mum trying to survive in the 1920s and beyond
And again I ask why are these movies not in the curriculum for high school kids for their social history value.
Passion of Augustine:
I love this movie for its classical music but it is also interesting for the very human drama of nuns having to make huge changes in the lives they knew
I am mot embarrassed to admit that the piano music of Liszt, Chopin, Bach and others, featured in this movie , bring tears to my eyes that I struggle to contain. It's just the overwhelming beauty of it
