When I said drain the bottle I was using it as an allusion to getting the most out of the series.
I find, perhaps it's age but then perhaps not, a really good movie or series needs to be watched more than once to extract the whole experience and enjoy it to its full. Often that will happen best when you leave a gap of months between the viewing, because it will be fresh again.
So I can say watching this series for the second time has given me perhaps even more pleasure than the first viewing because I am experiencing parts of it more fully than before. It's like listening to Beethoven's Pastoral or Mozart's clarinet concerto, the more you hear them the better they get. But I must admit I haven't listened to music for quite a while now. Don't know why.
Not that I don't drain the bottle of wine in the other sense, more so with advancing age.
