I've admired Tim Spall for a long time for movies he's made like Shooting the Past, Mrs Lowry and Mr Turner. But lately he's been making some things that don't in my view do him any favors, like It Snows in Benidorm, which is billed as a "thriller'....no thrills here. It should have been titled What the Poms do in Spain, in which Spall flounders among a tidal wave of drunken Brits mainly. And there was another one, the title escapes me, which I turned off after about 5 minutes. Maybe he's not alone though in finding quality scripts to justify his talent.
