Agree with BeautyQueen re Coastal locations have just moved to a QLD coastal town. I am currently renting a large 3 bedroom unit at $190 a week a similar 3 bedroom unit in the same block recently went for 320K less body Corporate and agent commission they are lucky to be getting 3% yield. The block has 13 units in it only 3 are permanently rented I have seen a maximum of 6 occupied due to holiday rentals, my unit was unoccupied for 8 weeks before I moved in. All day all I see is Utes going up and down my street to new unit complexes being built higher up the hill, there trully is a building boom going on. In addition to this within a 15 km area there are 3 new large housing estates planned this is in an area that has a population of rpughly 20K. Am I tempted to buy, no.
