Then again bruce, it depends on how accurate the population projections for Australia turn out to be. Peter Garrett is in favour of zero net immigration, and I dont think that Mark Latham is a great supporter of immigration either. Now that could drastically change things. My only hope is that it be done gradually, the analogy to the economic effects being similar to that of weening a heroin addict.
