The well logs from Alvarez is what got SGC excited about the deeper plays in Dempsey. The high gas shows in Alvarez were encountered below the shale so SGC had a pretty good knocking that the same eesvoir would be present across the basin. Effective seal it was all about whether gas had migrated.
What's missed is alvarez had 5000ft of gas shows! That's incredible..... if just half was pay that's colossal. Looking at the seismic read across from Alvarez to Dempsey I see little reason why Dempsey can't have a similar pay. And the closure is big too
