I'm not sure I understand your comment. What do banks have to do with BNPL regulation?
PS: I work in Risk Governance so Prudential Regulation (APRA) is my bread and butter
I do agree that BNPL regulation is coming, but I always find it strange that regulation seems to have such a negative stigma on hotcopper. Regulation in this space is inevitable to protect merchants and consumers from shady BNPL activities (driven mostly by FXL's dodgy solar panel dealings). I doubt the regulation will have any material impact on the vanilla BNPL products of the likes of Sezzle, ZipPay (not sure about ZipMoney) and Afterpay.
