I used to be keen on Emerging markets and China funds.
I held Fidelity Emerging markets and Platinum Asia funds.
I'm sorry but I now consider China ( by far the biggest Emerging market ) to be UNINVESTABLE.
both from an ethical and financial perspective.
quite simply the CCP just cannot be trusted, as they will always put their authoritarian antidemocratic agenda
ahead of all else and Chinese companies must comply. Furthermore they refuse to allow proper external
auditing of Chinese companies, which is essential for the fair running of stockmarkets, all in the name
of so called "national security". So the accounting of Chinese companies cannot be trusted.
The sooner the USA boots Chinese companies out of American stockmarkets for refusing proper auditing, the better.
