I accidentally met Joe Hockey in the street a couple of decades ago.

As he reached forward to shake my hand (I always look to connect my hand with the outstretched hand and then go straight to the eyes)....... well his eyes were already looking over my shoulder to the next person.

I’ve met Secondhand Car Salesmen that have ten times the social credibility.

Having met a few Politicians over the decades I’d say that some start out like a car tyre with good pressure but the system seems to run them under pressured and eventually flat............ on the other hand, others seem to start as under inflated re-treads that end up as a mess around a badly damaged rim ............. like you see on box trailers and tylike.

The “Young” Liberals/Labour/Nationals organisations seem to attract arrogant, conceited know nothings that get a toe in the door and then go on to influence and have partial control on the Senior Parties.

All of the Politicians worldwide know that they are complicit in a Mass Genocide................. and since they have no Human Soul they don’t give a low flying duck.

The collapse of the Supply Chain is going to be the Political Class and their Henchmen’s ultimate undoing.

I’ve never met Young Liberals, Nationals Labor or Greens for that matter, MI.

Well not knowingly.

I’ve met the leader of the WA National party a few times where I’ve conversed with Shane.
First time was at the pointy end of an election cycle and he was what I would consider to be the standard Pollie doing the kiss the babies, shake the hands and pee in the pocket’s of all and sundry in the nicest way possible.
Nothing wrong with that, standard for all these people and much like your brush with Joe.

Second time was earlier in an election campaign at the local PO.
Much more personal and I had a good 5 minutes of one on one with him.
It just happened that just before this chance meeting there were very big changes to the regulations around camping, access to beaches and tracks along the section of coast where I live with a swag of fines being imposed to make sure of our compliance.

I just couldn’t help myself so I had to quiz him as to how the government could justify the blanket ban?
He came back with the old standard, it was because of the few who couldn’t be trusted to do the right thing.

Well fair enough, there’s D heads everywhere I replied but they’re the exact people who are going to ignore these new rules.
They won’t give a fig for the rules and because these nanny state rules will only effect the good people, there won’t be any good people to take note of car regos and stuff or to be around to curb the enthusiasm of those D head people.

Plus I had a couple of other swipes at politicians in general

For a moment he got quite animated and I reckon he may have felt like taking a swing at me, fortunately Dot, Virginia and Pam came past to collect their mail.

Last time was 2 years ago at a local event where I was mainly chatting to his wife and he was just very nice (he obviously didn’t make the connection from our previous interaction).

By the way, when I was registered in his electorate I always put him first.

I Met Alana and Pauline as well and I wouldn’t relieve myself on Alana if she was on fire and I found Pauline to be a very friendly pleasant individual.
