I know I know chaching, but I'm not so sure that any Chinese interest is nearly enough to help. And I'm not convinced it's really there to any significant extent in the UK.

Even if they were coming over by the plane load, my problem is that I'm struggling to recall another occasion of a large real estate market being lifted into recovery on the back of investment from a single foreign source. It takes a little more domestic confidence than that.

You're right. "Experts" are wrong all the time. It's just not the experts that believe it though. It's the man on the street and therefore, it can become a self fulfilling prophecy.
