Link to recent DECC / BGS presentation on UK shale basins. DTE has 300,000 acres in the study area and looking at the presentation seems to be located in the more prospective areas (thick and deep shales in the Erbistock/ Cheshire / Gainsborough / Cleveland sub basins). The study also highlights the possibility for liquids rich gas in the shallower areas. DTE acreage has 65 TCF OGIP which could be 6-12 TCF recoverable. Early days but looking at AJL and IGAS charts suggests some industry interest that DTE has so far managed to avoid.
