The fight for junior Australian coal producer Caledon Resources (CDN:AIM) is understood to be nearing conclusion as two indian companies go head-to-head, market sources suggest. Energy-to-steel conglomerate Essar is the favourite. The final hurdle is seen to be winning over Xstrata (XTA) which has marketing rights to Caledons coal. - Buy at 54.75p.
