The volume of the buoy etc as per the previous post are the function of the for the want of a better term "upward force" the buoy exerts. What nobody is mentioning is the "downward force" the water is imparting on the buoy. This downward force is driven by the volume/weight of the water "directly above" the buoy, not to the side or below, etc. Ceto 6 has the bigger diameter than ceto 5, as such there is more water directly above it, providing the downward force.
