Thank's for all comments... The information took a lot of my time to collate....

Bungy thatnks for your response, that does sounds logical.

Now here is the Karijini National Park mangement plan from 1999 to 2009:

    www.calm.wa.gov.au/national_parks/management/pdf_files/karijini.pdf

(I am not able to read the page numbers on the document, so the page numbers below are the PDF assigned page numbers within Acrobat.)

On page 32 TR3156H is identified as an Iron Ore mining lease with the agreement between Goldsworthy/Nimingarra c/- BHP & partners.

On page 89 you will see the lease area of the new tenement E47/1759 as being identified as a mining lease within the park.

I haven't had time to have a good read through the doument yet. I saw that Hamersley Iron was approved corridor access to their leases and on page 31 there looks as though there are other Government agreements in place:

"Other Government Agreement Acts cover tenements
within the Park and south of Karijini Drive. The Iron
Ore (Goldsworthy) Agreement Act covers three
tenements, and Mt Bruce and Robe River Agreement
    Acts, one each."

Here is a list of all the state agreements:

    http://www.doir.wa.gov.au/aboutus/E311A1ABA7364677BD2B1516F7C9062B.asp

These two are relevant to Goldsworthy:

Iron Ore (Goldsworthy-Nimingarra) Agreement Act 1972
Iron Ore (Mount Goldsworthy) Agreement Act 1964

Here is the IRON ORE (MOUNT GOLDSWORTHY) AGREEMENT ACT 1964

    http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/wa/consol_act/iogaa1964420/

Here is the IRON ORE (GOLDSWORTHY-NIMINGARRA) AGREEMENT ACT 1972

    http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/wa/consol_act/ioaa1972436/

It would appear that the mining of TR70/3156H would be part of one of the above Government agreements. Again, I have not had time to have a good read through these agreements.

Since Goldsworthy 'I presume' had to relinquish some of their tenements upon the BHP take over of Goldsworthy, would that then make the associated Government agreement for those areas null and void?
