Stated “support”, even directly and emphasised as “strong” means little in reality until the right signatures are on the right bits of paper.
Over in Salta, govt officials (yes with site visits too) clearly stated the govt’s strong support for another Li co yet they are still waiting (around a year or so after visits and about 2 years after submitting their EIA report) for the govt approvals to be granted. Multiple meetings, site visits, reiterated support etc etc … yet the right signatures are what really matters. The lesson is: don’t get your hopes up or get too cocky coz these things (govt approvals, funding deals etc) can (and often do) drag on for years.
