Russian oil and nickel now cheap for China. China loves that; Russia will hate it. China win win; Russia Pyrrhic victory.
We will never hear it said, but China just knocked Putin off his high horse by encouraging him to attack Ukraine (but only after the Beijing Olympics are over). That was never going to do anything but what it did: isolate Russia totally predictable; force them into China’s hands with cheap oil and nickel.
Everyone gets what just happened. China advanced its economic development at ROW expense BIG TIME. Cost China nothing.
