I mentioned that there were several of them flying in the small town I live and was moderated for doing so, so I thought I would start a new thread to discuss whether it is really appropriate. In our town, the local newspaper has one now permanently adorning the middle top of the front page, there is a small one flying from the town hall, and several on scattered houses and small business's. In contrast, there is not a single Australian flag in sight anywhere, though there are a few red yellow and black ones to be seen which is most appropriate imo. someone put up a russian one but it was quickly taken down, i noticed , so i inquired and was told the cops had asked him to remove it, though i have not substantiated that it is however gone, and probably a good thing as i dont think it is appropriate to fly flags of another country so brazenly, especially from the town hall.
