"... Ukraine is currently pay Russia $295.60 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas in second quarter 2011 and expects that to escalate to $350 in the third quarter..."
"... statement by Alexei Miller, head of Russian gas giant Gazprom, to the effect that the Russian gas price for Ukraine would nearly double in the fourth quarter of this year, amounting to nearly $500 per 1,000 cubic meters..."
Now 1 Cubic Foot = 0.0283168466 Cubic Meters
So that translates to ...
Q2-11 $295 per Mcm = $8.37 Mcf
Q3-11 $350 per Mcm = $9.91 Mcf
Q4-11 $500 per Mcm = $14.16 Mcf
I wonder what effect this will have to any contracts we sign - the Ruskies are saying Gas price linked to Oil price - and oil is up (at the moment).
