Al the way from "Woohoo! Ukraine is winning!"
to
"Maybe it's time to talk about the possibility of Kyiv's surrender".
I guess US/EU and other countries made all the easy money that they could make on this whole "Ukraine" joint venture. Just like with mines where the resources are reaching exhaustion, and any further extraction becomes uneconomic, US/UK will gradually cease their operations there and abandon the mine, letting the Ukrainians having to deal with the restoration of the grounds. Sure, they'll throw Ukraine a buck or two to help with their rebuilding efforts, but most of that will most likely be in form of a loan.
