There’s been a lot of selling pressure lately, with speculation that the US could secure $500 million worth of rare earth elements (REE) from Ukraine.
However, recent reports suggest those fears may be overblown. According to S&P, Ukraine’s REE reserves have likely been overestimated to attract US funding. The deposits could be too low in concentration or too difficult to extract profitably.
