There has been IMHO another aspect of the Russian/ Ukraine situation that has not raised much attention and that is the change of attitude from many of the northern European countries, and I believe that this change is a direct result of the war
Many of the northern countries now view Russia as a threat but are not scared of it due to the fact that although the end of the Russia, Ukraine war is still up in the air the much vaunted power of Russia is shown to be fragile
So there have been two movements that have taken place, many of those northern countries are now working together as a joint defense against Russia, independent of the NATO and EU frameworks
And the second movement has been those countries opposition to the dictates from Brussells
So if the EU does fracture there maybe a new alliance in the north as a mini EU
