We the layman call it corruption, the system calls it Lobbying. Gun, Energy, Military, etc Lobbies is how America run things. Who better to appoint as Sec od Defence than a MIC corporate guy who was also a military General of Iraq/Afghanistan. Dick Cheny, Bush buddy at Halliburton rings a bell or Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz then you see the connection to the Wolfowitz doctrines. How appropriate his name start with "Wolf"!
Besides starting and funding proxy wars, my first introduction was the Nicaragua Ortega/Contra proxy war and the infamous Col Oliver North under Reagan, they also indulge heavily in "regime change" of Govt they find dangerous to their strategic interest like Indonesia/Sukarno, Oz/Whitlam (needs puzzle fixing) and of course the current Pakistan/Imran event. In most of the cases, nationalism is the casualty to their interest, irony?
What is significant to note is whether Biden and Co are aware or deliberate in the pushing for war with obvious commodity inflation as the motivation or the side effect? It would appear both arguments does make sense but we the common folks are made to pay for expensive things which we take for granted that are controlled basics.
