The question then is what timing is most advantageous for the company, if SP/market reaction is any immediate concern to them — AU or US investor attention?
Would have helped local investor nerves today, which makes its absence really interesting. (Past announcement timing doesn't give any clues — the trend has been a.m. announcements here, except for appointment of a chief operating officer which was p.m.).
