G'day Mate. When you say speculation, I guess you're talking about Speculative shares.? Speccy shares are at the risky end of the spectrum, but with risk comes reward.
Speculative investments are fed by a variety of elements with Fear Of Missing Out ( FOMO ) being a significant part of it, the ultimate example of this being Bitcoin. We had a great speculative run back in Feb/March '16 and we'll be seeing more, in my opinion.
