Completely right. Good solar panels can produce roughly 160W per sqm. (under perfect sun)
A car (5x2) 10 sqm could theoretically produce 1.6 kWh in one hour (under perfect sun). (that would give an BMW i3 10km range). As an extra charge it might come, but it wont be the solution for generally charging your car.
