so do you think that a bipartisan parliamentary advisory committee, co-chaired by a Lib MP and a Lab MP would not learn from the experience of ATSIC?
the legislation that enabled ATSIC allowed them carte blanche with funds and allocation to programs they established without Gov oversight. Clearly the legislation gave too much authority to ATSIC.
the Voice will only have authority to represent the community and advise parliament and the executive. no access to funds, no power to allocate funds, no authority to establish any bodies or programs or to appoint contracts.
even before legislation the Voice will be nothing like ATSIC.
