I have (had ) one, first instance thought it was from being too fat. lasted about 9 months then had a pain that felt like stomach bug, long story short it was my bowel being pinched. ended up emergency surgery. So if any pain or discomfort go to ER. My first time they did not mesh.
6 months later went again. The recovery is 6 - 8 weeks and that is a bigger pain. Has been about 6 months after 2nd op and am starting to get touchy where the mesh has been sewn in (as mentioned above) so I will be seeing if I need an ultra sound to see if it is snagging more gut. Hope not.
