INFORMATION REGARDING PHOSPHATE AUSTRALIA
LIMITED SECURITIES
Phosphate Australia Limited (POZ) wishes to advise that United Minerals Corporation NL
(UMC) has issued legal proceedings against Jim Richards (the non-executive chairman of POZ) and proposes to seek the leave of the court to include Andrew James (the managing director of POZ) as a party to the proceedings.
It must be stressed that POZ is in no way a party to the proceedings.
UMC seeks an order that the POZ securities held by Jim Richards and Andrew James areheld on trust for UMC.
The POZ securities held by each of Jim Richards and Andrew James are subject to anASX restriction agreement by which the securities are escrowed until 1 July 2010.
Jim Richards and Andrew James have confirmed to POZ that they will vigorously defendthe claims made by UMC.
The focus of POZ is on drilling the Highlands Plains phosphate project this year leading to a JORC compliant resource. The claims of UMC will have no effect upon this or any other
corporate objective of POZ.
