@walbrook; Hamas has been cited for war crimes against Israelis, is still under investigation and it's leaders appear certain to have arrest warrants issued against them by the International Criminal Court.

It's my assessment that Hamas leaders are dead men walking! They may ye tsurprise by releasing all hostages as a demonstration 'good faith' on their behalf and to upstage the USA and Netanyahu's Regime.

IMO the most important question relates to if and when the war in Gaza stops how will normality be restored for more than two million surviving but very deeply traumatised Palestinian civilians?

The USA has demonstrated that it's universally loathed throughout the entire Middle East and due to its complicity in crimes against humanity is morally unfit to play any role in reconstructing Gaza. It'll never hand over reparation payments awarded against it and nor will Israel.

Turkiye and Egypt appear best placed to play a constructive role, albeit neither of them are wealthy countries and have challenges of their own to manage. Will wealthy ME states bankroll the reconstruction of Gaza, perhaps?
