No one likes to see anyone's share portfolio lose value.

Were people scarred from the downfall of ABC. Yes, families were, children were, staff were, investors were and certainly hard working taxpayers were. However, a lot people made a lot of money from ABC, centre owners were paid huge amounts of money for their businesses. Then ABC went into administration, those owners, bought their businesses back from the administrators for a mere fraction of what they had sold to ABC for, built their businesses up over a few years, then sold again to another corporate.
ABC set the template and all other corporates have followed.
No one wants to see any business fail to vindicate failure of any kind by anyone, I think that is your own personal "unsubstantiated opinion".
I seriously doubt that any user comments on this forum are going to have a detrimental affect on the GEM share price.
As I've said before, the findings of The Productivity Commission and what the government implement from those findings are having an affect on the share price. Both of the larger corporate have stated that they welcome the findings of the Commission and "that they are well placed to deal with those changes", perhaps it's time to share their plans with their shareholders. The biggest hit to profits of childcare centres in the future will be the increases for staff ratio changes with 2-3 yr olds in January 2016.
If you wish to keep up to date with all of the topics being considered by the government you can contact Scott Morrison, the Minister for Social Services at www.aph.gov.au/S_Morrison_MP.
Any business that relies heavily on government funding is worthy of monitoring.
