    Another poster has question how up to date the Wikipedia information that I supplied on MONUSCO actually is.

    Below are the official UN links to the mission in the DRC for anyone interested.

    The second link is in French however confirms that the commander of the mission is the same person I named

    The UN mandate is for 22,016 people not far of the Wikipedia number of 23,000 that I previously quoted.

    translation

    "The Council then authorized a maximum strength of 19 815 soldiers, 760 military observers, 391 police officers and 1 050 members of formed police units, in addition to the civil, judicial and corrections components to MONUSCO appropriate."
