I agree, the UN is a historical relic without a scintilla of integrity and should be scrapped immediately.
That will free up scientists for genuinely apolitical research rather than the toe-the-party-line, UN-driven nonsense more reminiscent of fascistic regimes.

I, for one, will never again refer to a UN-funded study as a source of reference. Any UN approved study or body has literally no credibility any longer.
