I think heat mapping would be extremely powerful. Working as an urban planner / urban designer measuring urban heat island effect is extremely important.
We currently rely on surveyors with aerial scanning technology but it is available on a project by project basis and the cost can be exorbitant once you start looking at larger areas.
If options existed to include it within our annual subscription with Nearmap I think the cost would be well worth it.
