    I take it that you mean 'yes' (rather than no) we would have still seen the conspiracy theories, and I agree because whether the WTC fell or not, they were the catalyst for Afghanistan and Iraq. No doubt the conspiracy theory would have something to do with perpetrating an act on your own nation (own flag?)to justify the response. And there would be good reason for this, especially given the concocted evidence on which the Iraqi invasion was premised, it has happened time and time again and the numbers of dead from (own flag?) incidents are historically huge ... I haven't done the additions myself, one is left to accept the word of those who are supposed to know.

    And because of what the world now knows in terms of the concocted evidence for the invasion of Iraq, the conspiracy cries would be getting louder, not softer, and in part I think the increased volume is what we are hearing now.
