ASKED to name this year's winners on the bourse, many would nominate rare earths, a junior copper play or maybe an emerging iron ore play.
They would be wrong, and they can't phone a friend. Assuming no dramatic movement in today's derisory trading session, the winning stock will be the unassuming Aurora Oil & Gas (AUT, $2.24) with a 714 per cent gain for those lucky enough to hitch an early ride on this US shale-oil play.
