Entropylord, Actually, the reluctance of Australian investors to move out on the risk curve to achieve superior returns has been shown by numerous surveys (e.g. Morgan Research Group – survey done for ASIC, Citibank Australian Wealth, AXA, etc. etc.). These surveys have shown that Australian investors are generally targeting lower returns compared against investors in other regions around the world. The point which I have been driving is that Australian investors should not overgeneralise the risk, particularly in African context simply from information presented in general media or ill-advised and sometimes agenda driven members of forums or blogs. As I have demonstrated when looking more closely and subject to proper risk weighting being applied, investing in Eritrea may not necessarily or instantly fall into High risk category. At the same time I absolutely agree with you that investing in Eritrea should be done with cautious and measured approach.
